Privacy Policy

Reviewtail ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Reviewtail Limited. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services at reviewtail.io.

Information we collect

When you sign up and use Reviewtail, we collect:

How we use your information

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

Your customers' data

When your customers leave feedback through your Reviewtail review page, that feedback is stored in your account and is only visible to you. We do not share customer feedback with any third parties. Negative feedback is stored privately in your complaints inbox and is never published by Reviewtail.

Data storage

Your data is stored securely in Supabase on servers located in Sydney, Australia. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

Cookies and analytics

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, and an edge geo-lookup to show pricing in your local currency. To understand how visitors use our site and improve it, we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity (which provides aggregate session replays and heatmaps). We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell your data.

For visitors in the EU, UK, and other regions that require it, these analytics tools load only after you accept them via our cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, request deletion of your account and all associated data, or update your information at any time by emailing hello@reviewtail.io. We will respond within 5 business days.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you cancel your account, we delete your data within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

Google compliance

Reviewtail is designed to be fully compliant with Google's review policies. We do not gate reviews, block negative feedback from reaching Google, or artificially inflate ratings. Every customer is offered the same opportunity to leave a public Google review, regardless of their rating. Customers who had a poor experience can additionally choose to send private feedback so the business can resolve it, but they are never blocked from posting publicly. This approach is consistent with Google's Maps review policies, including the April 2026 Rating Manipulation update, which prohibits review gating, incentivised reviews, and on-premises review pressure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email if we make material changes.
